Brands change hands; the people records have to stay in order
Consumer goods portfolios are reshaped by acquisitions, divestitures and plant consolidations, and each transaction leaves HR and payroll history in a system nobody wants to keep paying for. Fuse Analytics archives that history, entity by entity, so the legacy systems can be retired and the records stay accessible.
Why consumer goods records outlive the system
A consumer goods company is a portfolio, and portfolios change. Brands are acquired with their own payroll, HRIS and plant systems; brands are divested with a transition services agreement that gives the buyer a few months of access to the seller’s systems; plants are consolidated and sales forces are reorganized. Each event strands people history in a system that is now the wrong size, the wrong owner or the wrong cost.
Fuse Analytics archives HR and payroll data for consumer goods companies today. The moving population’s records are extracted once, both sides keep what they are obliged to keep, and the surplus systems are switched off.
What a changing portfolio asks of its records
- Divestitures. The seller keeps its obligations for the people it employed, the buyer needs their history from day one, and the transition services agreement ends on a date. Archiving the population’s records once, with access for both sides under role-based security, beats extracting them request by request. The acquisition and divestiture roadmap walks through the sequence.
- Acquisitions. An acquired brand’s HRIS and payroll are usually retired within the integration plan; its employment, pay and benefits history should be archived first so the shutdown does not wait on the last open question.
- Multi-country payrolls. Global brands run payroll in many countries, each with its own retention and privacy rules. The archive applies policy per record type and country rather than to the whole system at once.
- Plant and sales workforces. Hourly plant crews and field sales teams generate the time, incentive and safety records that audits and claims come back to.
Accessible, compliant and secure
- Accessible. Self-service gives HR, payroll, finance and integration teams answers about a former employee, a divested population or a past pay period without a ticket to IT.
- Compliant. Retention policies by record type, audit access and data subject requests are handled by the compliance features, so records stay legally accessible for as long as the rules require and no longer.
- Secure. A SOC certified platform hosted on AWS with user roles, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and encryption; see the security overview.
